Acoustics (NRC & CAC):
NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient): Measures sound absorption within a room. Modern premium tiles achieve an NRC of 0.70 to 0.90+.
CAC (Ceiling Attenuation Class): Measures the ability to block sound from traveling to adjacent rooms. 2026 high-end "dual-purpose" tiles provide both high NRC and high CAC.
Sag Resistance (RH Value): High-performance tiles are now rated RH99, meaning they maintain structural integrity and resist sagging in environments with up to 99% relative humidity.
Fire Safety: Most commercial-grade mineral fiber tiles meet Class A (Flame Spread 25 or less) according to ASTM E84, making them essential for fire-rated assemblies
